Lessons, risks, implications...
Key lessons
It is important to involve local authorities (municipalities) as main driving organizations in river restoration works, especially in cases where the main targeted lands are municipal property. The EU funds (ERDF) provide good opportunities for NWRM in new EU MSs however the practical experience is still limited.
