This guide, entitled "A guide to support the selection, design and implementation of Natural Water Retention Measures in Europe: capturing the multiple benefits of nature-based solutions", has been developed as part of the NWRM project. It places the emphasis on the multiple-benefits NWRM can deliver and on the required policy coordination and coherence that is required to make best use of NWRM.
It is accompanied with a set of IDCards summarising for each NWRM some core elements to consider.

The guide is available in 15 languages and the IDCards are available in 6 languages and they can be found and downloaded on the dedicated page (see URL source hereunder) .

This report, published by the European publication office presents what was done under NWRM project by the team of experts and recommendations for the future.

This is the leaflet introducing in brief the core aspects of implementing NWRM in European context. This is a communication document summarising in two pages key elements making an expert recommend and use Natural Water Retention Measures, with some examples of what can be found on the NWRM platform.

This leaflet was produced at the beginning of the project and was targeting experts who may wish to join the discussion on NWRM knowledge and its progressive elaboration. It presents in a short and understandable manner the NWRM project and how to participate and contribute to the project. This note aims at raising some basic methodological issues that might be key to clarify both the content and the scope of the Pilot Project "Atmospheric Precipitation Protection and Efficient use of Freshwater: Integration of Natural Water Retention Measures (NWRM) in River basin Management".

In close interaction with existing and future NWRM practitioners, the NWRM initiative will ultimately produce a practical guide that can support the design and implementation of NWRM in Europe.
The present consultation note was prepared to steer discussions and feedbacks on the practical guide that will be developed. It focuses on three key issues: (i) the process proposed for developing the guide; (ii) the structure of the guide; and (iii) the type of information that will be provided in the guide.
For each item, a series of questions is proposed for steering the debate among all interested partners. The answers collected will help refining the proposed approach and the structure of the practical guide so it better responds to the expectations and demands of its potential users.
