Abstract
The Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve is an area where governmental decision makers,
scientists and local communities co-operate to develop a pilot programme for the administration
of the territory and the waters. The objective is to harmonize the requirements of
the local populations with the necessity for conservation of natural processes and biological
resources.
