Hydrogeological studies previous to the artificial recharge of Los Arenales aquifer, Duero basin (Spain)

The intensive rate of groundwater exploitation in several areas of aquifer (Duero basin, Spain) during last four decades has originated a remarkable descent of water heads. As a consequence of this problem, the ministry of Agriculture of Spanish Government (MAPA) began several studies and inquiries based on artificial superficial recharge in order to minimize environmental impacts.
